ORDIANCE NO. 267

AN ORDIANCE AMENDING ORDIANCE NO. 231 AND ORDINANCE NO. 254 OF THE TOWN OF MANZANOLA CONCERNING BURN PERMITS.

SECTION 3 (d) Public Burning. Except as provided herein, no person shall set fire or burn any garbage, rubbish or waste material or any hay, grass clippings, leaves or other combustible materials in any ash pit or any other receptacle or upon the ground.

That the person shall apply for and receive a burn permit from the Town of Manzanola;

The burn permit fee of $50.00 shall be paid to the Town of Manzanola.

That the Otero County Health Department has approved the actions requested in the burn permit.

The Manzanola Fire Protection District has approved the actions requested in the burn permit.

The Manzanola Town Council has approved the action requested in the burn permit.

The permit is to be exercised within 48 hours of receipt and under conditions at a time where there is no wind or wind gusts in excess of 5 miles per hour and no red flag warnings.

In the event the wind is blowing or there is a red flag warning which prevents the usage of the burn permit, a person may bring permit in to receive a replacement burn permit at price paid.
